Kira Amuwes Wilson

Research Administrator

Kira is a proud Wolastoqey woman from Tobique First Nation, NB, and currently serves as an Administrative Assistant with the team. In this role, she supports daily operations by managing email and correspondence through Outlook, coordinating meetings and conference calls via Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet, overseeing social media channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn, and maintaining organized records and documents.

She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Anthropology at the University of New Brunswick and plans to begin her master’s studies in the winter. With over 8 years of experience in customer service and hundreds of volunteer hours dedicated to giving back to her community, Kira brings a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others to every role she takes on.

Her journey has included student roles with NB Power and facilitating youth roundtables for Wild Matriarch Inc. Along the way, she’s also gained valuable experience in areas like accounting and cultural practices such as beadmaking. Kira is more than thrilled to be part of a welcoming and supportive team where she can continue to grow, contribute, and expand her professional and cultural experiences.
