Partnerships

Partners with the same passion

for making a positive difference

Our partners are individuals, communities, leaders, corporations and government, that work together to support Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

As we continue to build our network of partners, our goal is to bring together passionate people who believe by working collectively we can accomplish much more.

Our partners must align with our Guiding Principles in order to join Workforce Warriors efforts across Canada.

Working with Workforce Warriors

01

We are working to ensure equality for Indigenous Peoples

An agreement that recognizes Indigenous rights to self-government, land, equality, language and culture, as well as basic human rights in Canada was only signed in May 2016 after a change in the federal government. Indigenous rights are inherent, collective rights that flow from the original occupation of the land that is now Canada, and from social orders created before the arrival of Europeans to North America.

02

We are building support for skills-to-employment capabilities

In partnership with Skills Council of Canada Ltd., we are providing access to an all-in-one cloud-based skills development platform. We are able to support each community, corporate or government organizations who are looking for their own branded platform to support their own networks. Our collabortive model ensures we are able to support the needs of all people.

03

We are creating programs to support Indigenous mental wellness

Mental wellness is defined as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” Workforce Warriors and it's partners are building many types of wellness programs to support Indigenous Peoples at all stages of their lives.

04

We are working to create awareness of Indigenous culture, language and values.

Indigenous People have their own language, cultures, and traditions influenced by living relationships with their ancestral homelands. Today, Indigenous people speak some 4,000 languages. Workforce Warriors is working to ensure that each community’s cultures, identities and languages are being respected, cherished and carried forward to support future generations.

05

We are building Indigenous leadership capabilities

Our partnership with colleges, universities, corporations and Indigenous communities enable us to be the catalyst for supporting leadership capacity and capability development. Through job preparation programs, work integrated learning, and ongoing skills development support, our people gain the knowledge and experiences to be great leaders.

Why we should work together?

"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

There is a difference between people who want to help and people who actually help. In order to make positive advancements, action is required. Too many people have good intentions, yet we need to move those to action and getting results. Indigenous Peoples for far too long have been
