The Purpose of the Positive CFO Program is to develop Strategic CFO’s that can help us in achieving our vision of “helping our clients and our people change the world”! In our view, to be a Strategic CFO means that a Finance Professional has evolved beyond accounting, spreadsheets and finance-related tasks and has taken a seat at the Management Team table as a peer. Just as a Chief Product Officer is no longer just focused on coding or a Chief Marketing Officer is focused on more than just lead generation, a Chief Financial Officer must evolve into a Business leader that is driving the business forward not just focused on compliance or Finance deliverables. A Positive CFO will be invited to the Management table for strategic discussions, not to just warn against the risks of an objective, but because their business insights are highly valued by the Senior Leadership Team, the Board of Directors and more broadly across strategic stakeholders. To achieve that, A Positive CFO must truly understand the role of a CFO within a company. This understanding can only come from a combination of Professional Development and Verifiable work experience. Positive Venture Group has designed its Professional Development Programs, including this Positive CFO Program, to develop the best Strategic CFO’s… A Positive CFO!
